Step 2
Step 1
We will start with a free 15 minute phone consultation. This will allow us to connect and to see if we are a good fit to work with one another. If we decide to work together, we'll schedule our first session.
Prior to your first session, you will fill in an intake form to gather more information about you and your story. During this first session, we will go over the information you provided, identify your hopes and goals for therapy and create a plan for how to get you there.
We will begin this important work together, meeting weekly or bi-weekly for the first 8 weeks. Once you start to feel better equipped to manage what brought you here, we'll plan to meet as often as you feel you need moving forward.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are sessions in-person or virtual?
In-person sessions are offered on Tuesdays from the Branches Yoga Studio (9 Samuel Street, Kitchener). Virtual sessions are offered Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays (9:30AM-5PM). Eco-sessions (walk & talk) are available on Mondays and Thursday at Bechtel Park, Waterloo.

What is the commitment?
This varies from person to person based on a number of factors like your own availability, financial resources and your therapeutic goals. When we begin working together, I recommend doing sessions closer together (weekly or bi-weekly) to establish trust and to form a plan. Some people use therapy for a short time and others appreciate having a monthly or less frequent place to check-in and be supported. Let's chat more about your goals and form a plan that works for you.
What is the cost?
50 minute individual sessions are $150.00.
This amount will be directly billed to you following your session. If you have extended health benefits, you can submit your receipt for reimbursement. Most insurance providers cover at least some of the cost of a RSW (Registered Social Worker).
For workshops and other collaborations, contact Rachel directly to discuss pricing.
wouldn't it have been so much easier if we had been encouraged to be ourselves from the beginning, recognizing that human beings come in all shapes, sizes, and variances, and that it's these exact variances that create the colours that render us fully alive?
